Design Process Overview
The design process begins with you. We find out about your business, what it represents, and what you want your design to say about your company. Whether you already have ideas, images, and design recommendations that you’d like us to build on or want to totally put it our hands, we’ll create a unique and innovative design for you in a way that’s effortless on your side, from concept to design.
For many clients, that begins with creating a logo, which is about more than just a slick piece of art. An effective logo makes a statement about who your company is; what you do and why people want to be in business with you – all communicated instantly through a powerful design. Once we agree on what you want your logo to communicate, we explore the creative graphic design process involved in taking a project from idea to finished print project. We imagine it; sketch it; and give it shape form and color.
Now comes the exciting part – the first proof - which brings all of our ideas to life. The proof will always include several versions of the design. You can pick and choose which ideas you like, combine them, delete them one by one, or move on the next round of revisions until you’re satisfied. Once the design is finalized, we will send you your new design in every major file format commonly used for web use and publishing.
Here’s how the logo process works in five easy steps:
1. Pre Order
It all begins when you fill in the pre-order form and answer the questions. We want to understand your company and your targets. We will contact you shortly after that with more information regarding your project. At that point, we will also send you the initial invoice for a 50% deposit (paypal, check or money order accepted)
2. Start
We start the design process right after the initial invoice is paid. At this stage, we’ll need as many comments from you as possible. Before we ever touch any software, we brainstorm and sketch any ideas that we will be creating. You will see the initial logo design concepts within 4-5 business days.
3. Revisions / Comments
Again, we’ll need as much feedback as possible. Your input for logo concepts or other components of your business identity is very important. Feel free to suggest changes, additions, ideas. We’ll listen closely and work as a team. The designer will implement the comments into the revisions.
4. Pre Final
You will likely approve the logo or corporate identity concept(s) we have designed after about 3-4 (normally, but not limited) revisions. The final invoice will be sent to you for the balance once you approve the final design. NOTE: You’ll pay only after you approve the result.
